Thomas Blackshear Ebony Visions Figurine Limited Edition Beta Issue Item # 37049
"Night In Day" first appeared as a painting which introduced Blackshear's unique Afro Noveau style - a style heavily influenced by Art Noveau and Art Deco. This allegorical design shows night as a man wrapped in daylight. Blackshear uses color and symbolism to create both nighttime and daytime. Swarovski crystals are used to embellish the night sky.
NOTES: Retired June 2001 with a final production quantity of 8,000. "Night in Day is my breakthrough painting. I guess you could say that this was the first piece that helped me get in touch with who I'm becoming."
